About

I work hard, love to write and travel and I live in a beautiful Canadian city. I'm a pretty typical woman... I work hard, I love to learn, and I have an interest in history.

A while back, however, I realized that I was also deeply in tune with nature, the changing of the seasons. I love walking on the grass barefoot, planting seeds in the soil, taking long walks, watching water lap gently on a shoreline.

I feel a deep connection to the earth as the seasons change, from the crisp winds of winter to the soft, tender green leaves unfolding in spring, to the long, hot days of summer when the sun lingers in the sky until late, and finally, concluding with the spectacular display of fire-orange leaves and the sound of geese migrating against the vivid blue skies of fall.

As I became aware of my need to integrate my loves from the earth more prominently into my life, I began to fill my small city apartment with reminders of the earth's beauty: more fresh flowers, beautiful gems and minerals, and natural scents of faraway lands. I started to read about earth-based religions. I became more in-tune with the power of essential oils and the comfort of herbal teas. I slowly started to pepper in my modern, technology-loving life with more traditional practices. I learned how to properly set intentions, use energy to my benefit, manifest desires and be thankful for it all.

I am very interested in the ways of previous times, particularly the ways of my ancestors in Northern Europe: the Celts, and what we know of the native people of Britain and Ireland and the Netherlands and Scandinavia. And while I am not one to completely forego my modern life, nor do I feel any need to proselytize my way to others, I felt like journaling about my love of a more nature-based rhythm to modern life as a way of sharing my everyday discoveries and loves with anyone who wanders by.

Welcome. Thank you for stopping.
